PhD Conference Travel Award

The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) has PhD Conference Travel Awards available to support PhD students who wish to attend a conference or meeting in order to gain valuable experience for educational and/or networking purposes. Students should consult with their faculty mentor to identify a conference in which their attendance could be "career launching".

Award Description: School of Nursing PhD students may be eligible to receive one (1) PhD Conference Travel Award during their PhD Program:

  • Awards up to $1,500 will be made for travel, regardless of location (continental US or International).

If you have responded to a formal call for abstracts and have been selected to present at a regional, national, or international nursing meeting or conference, there may be funding opportunities available for you through the Rackham Graduate School and/or the School of Nursing. Please contact the UMSN Financial Aid Office for more details.
