Athletic Training Student Assistance Award Application

Purpose
The Athletic Training Student Assistance Award is available to current athletic training students who need financial assistance to support education-related expenses.

Eligibility
 Athletic Training students are eligible to apply for a Student Assistance award if:
    a) It is their first time applying for the award or if their initial application was not accepted;
    b) The graduate student is in good academic standing in their program;
    c) The student is making satisfactory progress toward a degree (i.e., within a 2-year model);

Awards
A student is eligible for one Athletic Training Student Assistance award during their time in the Athletic Training program at the University of Michigan.
*For some students, this scholarship may reduce the original amount of their need-based financial aid

 • Students can receive a one-time award of up to $500 to aid in the cost of education-related 
   expenses including, but not limited to: 
         • Immersive Clinical Experience expenses 
                 • Housing Expenses (incl. Time, Date, Company)
                 • Travel Expenses (i.e. Gas, Airplane / Bus Ticket, Parking Receipt)
         • BOC Examination Preparation costs
                 • Athletic Training Exam Cost (incl. Receipt)
                 • Study Materials (i.e. Book Receipt / Order Confirmation)
         • Regional Athletic Training Meeting expenses
                 • Conference Registration (incl. Registration Confirmation / Receipt)
                 • Travel Expenses (i.e. Gas Receipts; Cost of Mileage; Mileage calculator UM)
 • The Athletic Training Student Assistance Award may not be used for the purchasing
   or maintenance of electronic devices (e.g., laptops, iPads).
 • All awards are for reimbursement only. Receipts for each listed expense must be provided to justify award eligibility.
